PAMOJA

This is PA-MOJA is a traveling exhibition showcasing a series of portraits and stories to define PA-MOJA and the interconnections between those involved. The images were taken virtually by Photography students (now alumni) at Langley Fine Arts School. The portraits and interviews are of people in Canada, US, and Kenya, and wildlife in Kenya. We had photo sessions via social media with a participants including the Rhinos at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It was an amazing experience! All photo sessions were virtual. The exhibition will travel to schools in Canada and Kenya.https://pa-moja.com/

KWANTLEN

This is Kwantlen was a large scale portrait project to acknowledge the local  indigenous community in the Fort Langley area. Langley Fine Arts School Photography students gathered with Kwantlen elders and community members to hear stories and learn about Kwantlen people. The students connected with Kwantlen members to photograph and interview them. The portraits and stories were showcased at the Fort Langley national historic site and throughout the village.

LFAS MOSAIC MURAL

MURAL

LFAS Mosaic Mural is a composite of thousands of portraits of the Langley Fine Arts School community. The images are organized like pixels to form a mosaic of a local forest that had been saved from destruction. It is a celebration of a successful initiative created by Langley Fine Arts Photography students. The 80ft wide 16ft tall mural is showcased on the exterior wall of the Langley Fine Arts School.
